Empire Undertaking Funeral Services is a business founded by Byron & Candice Linevee in 2020. They both have a deep passion and love for ministry, people, and communities.
Our Story
The Empire legacy stems from a heritage in the funeral industry of dynamic experience driven by both Byron & Candice. Byron, having worked as an undertaker for his late dad's funeral company and Candice having worked as an office administrator for a competing funeral company.
With years of combined experience, it only seemed fitting for Byron & Candice to initiate a new startup funeral company in 2020 when the Covid pandemic hit.
In 2023, after the passing of his dad, Byron & Candice pursued the takeover of his dad's 14 year old company, with creative and unorthodox approaches that reshaped the industry landscape amongst competitors. At present, Empire Undertaking has more than tripled it's clientele and as of 2024, continues to grow, in spite of economic challenges.
